Volkswagen Truck & Bus continues its upward trend, selling 144,000 vehicles so far this year

Volkswagen Truck & Bus sold some 144,000 vehicles of the MAN, Scania, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus brands – From January to September 2017 inclusive.

This is an increase of 9 per cent on the same period in the previous year. In the first nine months of this year all three brands continued on their growth course.

In the first three quarters of this year MAN Truck & Bus sold some 62,400 vehicles, an increase of 5 per cent on the same period in the previous year.

Scania opts for Dassault Systèmes platform to develop new generation of vehicles

Scania, one of the world’s leading truck manufacturers, has partnered with Dassault Systèmes to develop a new generation of vehicles. 

Scania, which is part of the Volkswagen group, employs approximately 46,000 people in 100 countries. It claims to have delivered more than 81,000 commercial vehicles to customers in 2016. 

This year, among the new developments for Scania is the expansion of its alternative energy bus range, including hybrid vehicles, a record number of which – 140 – the company has been contracted to public transport authorities in Norway.  Continue reading Scania opts for Dassault Systèmes platform to develop new generation of vehicles
